What is the rated life of an LED?

Last Updated:

The rated life of a light source is basically an estimate of average operational life. The statistical measurement for the rated life is designated (Bp) and is measured in hours, where (p) is a percentage. For example, a B10 rated life of 1,000 hours means that 10% of the tested products have failed while 90% have lasted 1,000 hours.
