Drybox and Isolation Box Gloves
Our new facility in San Marcos, California, a short drive north of San Diego, will triple our capacity for the production of dry box and isolator gloves. The processing of these gloves is almost entirely automated in a controlled environment. Each pair of gloves is 100% inspected, including an air leak check and serialization.
These gloves are used in the most critical of applications where containment of a hazard is needed or the product is of a critical nature where zero contamination is the essential. A typical usage of drybox gloves is protection for workers handling radioactive materials. Another application would be the pharmaceutical industry where the job of the glove is two fold. First, the glove needs to protect the workers from the materials that they are handling. Secondly, the gloves need to allow the workers to manufacture critical drugs without any contamination. All gloves manufactured at Piercan USA undergo a rigorous 100% Quality Control Inspection to assure their fitness for the critical nature of their use.
