Manufacturing Engineer (Cleanroom Processes)

Process or Manufacturing Engineer with experience in process development, verification, process control and continuous improvement to work on the commercialisation of a new digital printing process. You must have in-depth experience as a manufacturing, process or production engineer working in a cleanroom environment (photolithography, vapour deposition, micro-machining or similar); and will be a good graduate (1st/2.1) or equiv in engineering or materials science. Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills are a must; and you will be a team player happy working in a fast-paced environment.

Your job will be to identify and resolve production process issue using structured problem solving techniques such as Root Cause Analysis. In addition, you will implement changes that improve product flow and reduce costs. Improvements will include identifying and commissioning process changes to improve the repeatability and predictability of the various printhead manufacturing processes. You will resolve process issues in dealing with photolithography, vapour deposition and micro-machining processes. In addition, you will assist in the root cause analysis process for reviewing and resolving problems encountered during development, manufacturing and operation of the digital printing system.

Experience in working directly with R&D to develop test plans for quantifiably assessing the risks and benefits of product changes that need to be introduced to the printing systems; experience of tracking parts build and process yield monitoring; and skills in methods and use of software for statistical process control, data analysis, problem-solving, and design of experiments are necessary.

You will need Solid Works experience and have some background in the development and maintenance of quality control and verification. This may include (FMEA, SPC, Variation Reduction, Kaizen etc.).

An attractive salary is negotiable depending on background and qualifications will not be a bar in attracting the right candidate. In addition there is an attractive benefits package including relocation where required.
