We are looking for a Cleanroom CMP Process Engineer to operate in a changing environment due to multiple technical requests from R & D and Business teams. The candidate will meet aggressive yet attainable goals and objectives to satisfy Cleanroom CMP polish experiments improve cost structure in the Cleanroom quality needs and develop robust and consistent polish processes. The position will support R & D/ Business experimentations and transfer of new products and processes to manufacturing mode.

The key responsibilities of the Cleanroom Process Engineer are:

•Collaborate closely with various functions of R & D Teams to ensure experimental goals are executed in a timely manner.
•Create and document new processes. Provide and coordinate training of polishing and metrology operations to application and team engineers.
•Provide engineering support for the introduction/qualification of new supplier products/consumables used in polisher tools and polish experiments.
•Proactively identify and eliminate sources of variation to improve process quality and consistency.
•Help drive Root Cause/Corrective Action effort for tool related issues originating from within Cleanroom operations.
•Partner in New Product Development to establish the parameters for viable commercial processes.
•Identify and implement improvements in environmental health and safety areas.
•Identify and work on limited number of projects on improving Cleanroom cost structure.

Technical – Requires a CMP Engineering background in a manufacturing environment with core competency in at least one of the following: process engineering quality and/or production management. A strong knowledge and background in statistics and process control methodologies in SPC is required. A critical thinker and confident problem solver with expertise in FMEA-like skill-sets and troubleshooting experience. Six-sigma experience a plus.

Business – Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Able to work collaboratively with teams across R & D and Business Teams to build relationships and drive activity to meet company business needs.? Ability to assist in organizing teams focused on specific projects/goals. Planning prioritizing goal settings and project management skills. Good written and oral communication skills.

Experience –Five years minimum work related experience.

Preferred: Experience in cross-functional teams with demonstrated effectiveness as well as experience with Quality Systems Process control systems. Knowledge of silicon wafers processing and material surface changes due to surface modifications.
Computer – Proficient PC skills. Experienced with databases and Microsoft Applications. Comfortable with multiple data acquisition systems.Preferred – Experienced with statistical software packages such as Minitab and/or Northwest Analytics.

Travel: Minimal

Educations: B.S. degree required in Chemical Engineering Material Science Physics Mechanical Engineering or related field. Additional course work towards an advanced degree is preferred. Candidates with a combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelors degree and 8 years of CMP experience coupled with a track record of innovation and problem solving will be considered.
