SUMMARY:
Inspects and tests; customer furnished materials, internal process results, and products from sub-tier suppliers. Provides training, guidance, and assistance to other Inspectors, as well as Internal Customers, such as; Engineers, Product Managers, Group Leaders, Technicians, etc.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
? Read and interpret drawings, specifications, work instructions, flow charts, etc.
? Visual Inspection, using normally corrected vision and/or magnification.
? Dimensional Inspection, using basic hand tools, surface plate setups, CMM programs, etc.
? Programs CMMs for efficient and accurate operation.
? Participate in tooling design and recommendations as required.
? Helium Leak Test, as required.
? Electrical and/or functional test, as required.
? Create Nonconforming Material Reports for parts that do not meet requirements.
? Create Preventive and/or Corrective Action Reports as needed.
? Watch for Continuous Improvement opportunities to be presented to company management.

QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. ? Advanced Blueprint Reading skills, for interpretation of drawings, notes, revisions, GD&T, tolerances, symbols, etc.
? Math skills sufficient to calculate angles, feature locations, tolerances, etc.
? Read and understand specifications, procedures, etc.
? Strong working knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
? Strong working knowledge of CMM Programming.
? Excellent ability to understand and follow instructions, both written and verbal.
? Good reading comprehension, in English.
? Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
? Strong working knowledge of; grammar, spelling and punctuation.
? Working knowledge of common database functions, spreadsheets, word processing, etc.
? Some experience with AutoCAD, or similar drafting software, preferred.
? The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem
? Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks
? Monitoring skills (Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action)
? Instructing skills (Teaching others how to do something)

? Extensive use of hands and fingers, for part handling, touch and feel.
? Continuous demands for close vision, depth perception, and distinction of colors.
? May be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds frequently, 50 pounds occasionally.
? Typically required to stand, sit, or walk, for extended periods of time.
? Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations

? Ability to work overtime if necessary

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
? High School Degree or equivalent
? Min. 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
? Typically works inside a class 1,000 cleanroom, with strict gowning and part-handling requirements.
